Apple opened pre-orders this week for HomeView, its first dedicated smart display. The 7-inch Liquid Retina device sits on a speaker base or mounts to a wall, recognizes up to six household faces, and runs Siri AI for home control, FaceTime, and entertainment. Both versions cost $299 and start shipping November 13 in a limited set of countries.
