Finally Got OmniRoute + Claude Code Working 🚀
Today was one of those technical days where the solution looked simple on paper but turned into a rabbit hole of terminals, environment variables, model profiles, OAuth connections, endpoints, and Windows configuration.
I was trying to get Claude Code working through OmniRoute, with the ability to route requests through different AI providers instead of being locked to a single model.
I connected Antigravity, Kilo Code and NVIDIA, generated Claude profiles, tested the local OmniRoute endpoint, inspected request logs, and eventually confirmed the full flow:
Claude Code → OmniRoute → Provider → Model
The best moment was seeing the OmniRoute logs return 200 with:
antigravity/claude-sonnet-4-6
That was the proof that the setup was actually working.
And after wrestling with the Windows configuration for quite some time, Grok finally helped me identify and fix the remaining issue. 😄
Today's lesson:
Sometimes the hardest part isn't building the technology. It's getting five different pieces of technology to agree on how they should talk to each other.
Now I have a much better understanding of how Claude Code, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, provider routing, model profiles and OmniRoute fit together.
One more piece of my AI development stack finally clicked into place. 🔥
